The Nova Scotia Town Criers' Competition is a two-day event being held on the 17th and 18th of July and kicks off the Grand Reenactment weekend.
Registration takes place on the morning of the 17th - exact time and a full schedule of both days' proceedings to be posted shortly.
The event will take place in the Guild Hall area of Historic Dock Street.
Thursday, 17th: First cry at 2pm.
Friday, 18th: The Second Criers' event will take place also at 2pm and will be followed by an "All Comers" cry which is an opportunity for anyone to try their "voice".
Also in the evening on Thursday the 17th, there will be a reception for all criers and escorts, volunteers with the Criers' Event along with invited guests, local politicians and business people.
This two-day Town Criers' Event is sanctioned by the Nova Scotia Criers' Guild and will determine the Nova Scotia Town Crier Champion.
